Motorola wanted to leverage their sponsorship with the NFL by getting their name in front of millions of fans,
without spending millions of dollars.

The answer was right in front of them. Since Motorola provided headsets to NFL coaches, why not provide them to fans?

The Gameday Moto Event was an interactive campaign featuring 3D displays outside NFL stadiums where fans received free, inflatable Motorola headsets, got to meet former NFL players, as well as try out Motorola phones.

The promotion, which was originally slated for Chicago, was so popular it was featured at every NFL stadium,
where they completely ran-out of headsets.

Fans wearing Motorola headsets in the stands were seen on live TV by countless viewers in multiple markets,
providing Motorola with the best media of all - free.
