How do you wake people up to the profound needs of the homeless?

By putting them literally in the shoes of the less fortunate.

By proposing ideas like eating from a dumpster, or sleeping on a park bench, and asking the provocative question:
YOU WOULDN´T. WHY SHOULD ANYBODY?

The message: You can´t even fathom doing that. But that´s everyday life for some.
HELP US HELP THEM. GIVE TO CATHOLIC CHARITIES.

The objects (park benches, shopping carts, large dumpsters) were placed in high-traffic areas that forced people to appraise them- malls,
airport concourses, etc. It required minimal donations from local businesses, stores donated shopping carts, waste management
companies donated clean dumpsters, park district gave benches, public transit and newspapers offered free ad space.
Catholic Charities was able to get free media coverage of the program and generate raised awareness and revenue.
